About us

Narsku is a brand of Finnish neck gaiters, manufactured in Helsinki, Finland. We design, print, and finish every gaiter at our own facility in Finland — start to finish, no middlemen.

What does "narsku" mean?

What does "narsku" mean?

Narsku is the Finnish word for the sound dry, frozen snow makes underfoot. Every Finn knows it instantly: a bright, glittering winter day, well below freezing, and every step goes narsku, narsku. It's the soundscape a neck gaiter belongs to — which is why it's the name of our neck gaiters.

how our gaiters are printed

how our gaiters are printed

We print with dye sublimation, where the ink turns to gas and bonds directly into the fiber. The color doesn't sit on the fabric as a film — it becomes part of it: the print won't crack, won't wear off, can't be felt by hand, and the fabric keeps breathing right through the design. That's how a gaiter can be full of color and completely soft at the same time.

100% renewable energy

100% renewable energy

Our facility runs entirely on renewable energy — mostly hydropower, the most common form of renewable energy in the Nordic countries. Every gaiter we print is made with the power of northern rivers.

Oeko-Tex 100 certified materials

Oeko-Tex 100 certified materials

Both our inks and all our gaiter fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. The certificate means every material has been tested for harmful substances — safe against the skin, including on your face and in front of your airways, where a gaiter actually lives.
